What are your hours of operation?

Kā’anapali Golf Courses are open daily from 6:15 AM to 6:15 PM with tee times starting seasonally just after sunrise, and closing just before sunset. The practice facilities typically open at sunrise and close before sunset, with an early closure on Monday afternoons for maintenance.

How can I book a tee time?

Tee times can be booked 24/7 through our online booking engine. Booking online ensures you have access to the best available rates.  Kā’anapali Golf Courses utilizes Dynamic Pricing. This buying experience ensures that golfers can look at tee times in real-time and then pick the tee time, price, and date that best suits their needs.  

How far in advance can I book a tee time?

General public reservations can typically be made up to 120 days in advance. 

Do you offer golf lessons or clinics?

Yes, we offer a variety of instruction programs through our PGA professionals, including private lessons, junior instruction and group clinics. We cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced players looking to master the trade winds.

Are carts available, and is there a cart fee?

Tee times include a shared golf cart for two players  with GPS.   We offer a rider fee of $30.00 per person to share a cart with the player, or to have a single cart.

Do you provide rental clubs or other equipment?

We offer premium Callaway rental sets for men (regular and stiff), women (regular or ladies flex), and juniors, both left and right handed.  To request rental clubs, see us in person in the Pro Shop prior to your tee time.

Is there a dress code?

Proper golf attire is required at all times. This includes collared shirts and golf slacks or shorts. Denim, swimwear, and tank tops are not permitted. We are a soft-spike-only facility.  Rental shoes are not offered.

Do you have practice facilities (driving range, putting green)?

Yes, we feature a full-service practice facility including a driving range and practice putting greens with chipping areas to help you warm up before your round on the Royal or Kai courses.

Are children allowed on the course?

Yes! We are proud to be a family-friendly facility for children ages 5 and up. We offer discounted junior rates on both the Royal and Kai courses.  In addition, the Kā’anapali Kai course offers junior “keiki” tees to make the experience attractive to the entire family.  Kā‘anapali Golf Courses features several innovative programs from FootGolf to Fit Club in an effort to attract non-golfers to the facility to experience the beautiful grounds. 

Do you have water stations on the course? 

Yes, there are water stations offered after every 4 holes on both courses.  We encourage the use of a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste that ends up in our oceans.

What types of tournaments or events are hosted at Ka’anapali?

Whatever the purpose, the Kā’anapali professional staff is experienced in group outings and tournaments and will work closely with you from start to finish to lift the weight off of your shoulders! From shotguns to consecutive tee times, our outings are customized to fit the unique needs of each group, with additional options for personalized contests, scoring, logo apparel, and pre-purchased merchandise bags.  Additionally, Kā’anapali offers unique private events for buyouts of the driving range or on-course fairways for private events. 

Are there twilight or weekday specials at Ka’anapali?

Kā’anapali Golf Courses utilizes Dynamic Pricing. This buying experience ensures that golfers can look at tee times in real-time and then pick the tee time, price, and date that best suits their needs.  Traditionally competitive rates are offered for times in the afternoon, ideal for those who want to squeeze in a round after a morning at the beach.

Does Ka’anapali Golf Courses have on-site dining or a bar? 

Yes, the world-renowned Roy’s Ka’anapali is located at the clubhouse. Created by Chef Roy Yamaguchi, it offers high-end Hawaiian Fusion cuisine and is a premier spot for a post-round dinner or cocktail. 

Is there a pro shop at Ka’anapali? What do they offer?

Our award-winning Pro Shop features a wide selection of Maui-branded apparel, the latest golf technology, and unique souvenirs. We carry top brands like Peter Millar, Callaway, and Travis Mathew.

Are there any unique features of Ka’anapali Golf Courses? 

We offer two 18-hole experiences: the Royal Ka’anapali Course (designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr.), which stretches to the Pacific Ocean, and the Ka’anapali Kai Course, which offers elevated panoramic views of the neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai.

Do you issue rain checks or refunds for cancellations?

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Inclement weather or rain does not constitute a rain-out. Rainouts must be unplayable or unsafe weather and/or course closing determined at the sole discretion of the General Manager and/or Superintendent. In the event the golf course is deemed unplayable due to a rain-out, we issue prorated rain checks based on the number of holes completed.  No rain checks are issued unless the golf course is closed and deemed unplayable. 

Can I book online or only by phone?

While our Golf Shop is happy to assist you by phone, we recommend booking online or through our APP for the most transparent view of available times and the best current pricing.  In additional to dynamic rates and times, our APP offers online booking for local Hawai’i residents with a valid Hawai’i drivers license.

How busy is the course on weekends?

Mornings are consistently busy throughout the week. We recommend booking at least 30 days in advance during peak travel seasons (December through April) to secure your preferred course.  Weekends are popular and we recommend booking at least 14 days in advance for weekend times.

Do you allow riders that are not playing golf?

Non-playing riders are permitted for an additional fee, provided there is space available. It is a fantastic way for companions to see the whales (in season) and the coastal views.

Do you allow food and beverages to be carried on?

We do not allow outside alcohol to be brought onto the golf course.  A selection of alcoholic drinks, snacks, light lunch options and non-alcoholic beverages are offered on our beverage cart for a fee.

What is the difficulty of the course?

The Royal Course, at 6,700 yards and par 71 is a championship-length layout that tests your long game and putting. The Kai Course, at 6,400 yards, is slightly shorter at par 70 and is more forgiving, but requires strategic club selection due to elevation changes.

Do your golf cars have GPS?

Yes, our carts are equipped with a state-of-the-art GPS system that provides yardages, course maps, and allows you to order food from the turn.

Do you pair groups of less than 4?

To maintain a 4 hour and 15-minute pace of play, we pair singles and twosomes into complete foursomes during peak hours.
